Uzemi Agentathon: A Call for Women in AI
The Uzemi Africa 4.0 Annual Summit Agentathon is a 6-week hackathon-style programme running from October to November 2026, with the final presentation taking place at the Uzemi Africa 4.0 Annual Summit on November 21, 2026.
The programme is designed to support women in building practical AI agents and intelligent solutions that address real-world problems. Selected participants will receive training and mentorship across key areas including:
- AI agent fundamentals
- Tool use and function calling
- Agent frameworks
- Memory and context management
- Multi-step planning
- Safety, guardrails and deployment
Participants will work in teams to develop their ideas into functional prototypes, receive guided mentorship during the build phase, and present their solutions for review, with selected teams progressing to the final summit presentation.
